My name is Esra Verspui. I am in year 3. I have lived in Doha for 2 years. I was born in Holland. I wanted to be on the Student Council to help new children make new friends.

Hello my name is Hannah. I have been here for 3 years. I am in Year 4 – Ms Nazra. In my free time I like to go to the beach and have fun. I have been chosen to be part of the student council because I will always be helpful and nice to people.

Hi, my name is Amirah, I’m 10 years old. I come from Malaysia. My hobby is designing, painting and decorating. Though I also like writing. I’ve lived in Doha for almost 5 years.  I’m in year 5. I wanted to be on student council because, I wanted to help out everyone and share my ideas.

Hello, my name is Matthew I am the student councilor for class 7A. I wanted to become student councilor because I wanted to express ideas throughout the school and make it a better environment for us students to learn. My hobbies are football, rugby cricket and I have just started volleyball and enjoy it very much. I have a Yorkshire terrier named Scruffy and a ginger cat named Felix.

Hi my name is Kristen and I’m in year 7B. I’ve been in Doha for 10 and half months, and loving it!!! The reasons I want to be a student councilor is because it gives me great joy to help others and I will bring students’ ideas or suggestions forward in our meetings.

Hello my name is Alex I am in 8a and I have lived in Doha for 6 years. I want to be in the student council because I want to give the students of this school a voice, a voice they can actually use to say what they need and what they want to happen in our school.

Nadia Tore Gjerdingen

Hello, my name is Nadia Tore. I am in 8b and I am 12 years old. I moved to compass three years ago, when the school had only been open for one year. I love dancing, ballet, and I have been doing it for nine years. I also love to act and I love science and English. I have been a student councilor before, and I really enjoyed being able to make changes and improve the school.

Hello, I’m Jonas Laursen and I’m in 9a. I’m 14 years old, and I’ve lived in Qatar for around 2 and a half years. The reason I wanted to be in the school council because I was in it last year, and l wanted to do something for my school.

Hello, my name is Georgia Perry and I am in year 9 I am 13 years old. I am very sporty and I love to play Netball and swim. I have been in Qatar for one year now and I already love it.  I really wanted to be the school representative because I like to do things for the school and I think it is better to have a friendly environment for all the Students and Teachers.

Hello, my name is Candida Myers, I’m in Year 10 and I’m 14 years old. I have lived in Doha for 14 years, and I’ve seen all the changes there have been here. Dancing, singing, and acting are very important to me. I have been in many musicals and I love being on the stage. I wanted to be on the Student Council for our school because I think it’s important to hear opinions from students and not just from teachers. Students don’t always get a say in what happens in their own school but I think it’s extremely important that we do.
