Welcome to the new term and start of the academic year 2011-12 at CISD
We are looking forward to a great year of learning through our IPC units, details of which you can see by clicking on the link to our 2011-2012 Route Plan
This year we got off to a fantastic start by holding a Brain Friendly learning Day on the 12 th September. Every child in school was involved in brain friendly learning at the appropriate level; from teaching each other new skills to learning about the brain itself. Everyone was focused on learning about how we learn best and the type of learners we are. I’m sure there will be many opportunities to reflect on this learning throughout the term.
We had a terrific turn out for the Parent Information Morning on 11th October 2011. As well as completing the juggling Rubric to gain an understanding of IPC assessment for learning, parents joined in a 'Treasure Hunt" to experience an Entry Point first hand. They enthusiastically searched for clues to solve the puzzle in true competitive spirit-well done to the winning team!

We also had a fantastic response to the request for parent volunteers to create an International Display about their home country. This term we are starting off with a display about The Netherlands at the Gharaffa Campus and Ireland at Madinat Khalifa Campus. Many thanks to the parents who have given up their free time to create the displays-I'm sure we will all learn something from them.
