English as an Additional Language

Mother Tongue Information Presentation (November 2011)

Dear Parents,

Please find some links to age appropriate websites that provide activities designed to aid your child's learning of English. You will also find many other language activities on the websites. These are also useful language activities for your child. Please do not just restrict your child to the websites and activities that we have recommended! Try the others as well!

These language activities can be used at anytime and in any order.  Use them after meal times, before bed times, at weekends, during vacations. The other activities can be used too! Feel free to explore the whole site. Adults may wish to use some of the activities too.

Becoming fluent in English is not just about practicing activities appropriate to the learner's age. It is also about practising activities appropriate to the learner's ability level.
