Accreditations

Quality assurance procedures at Compass International School Doha are designed to provide confirmation that the educational provision of the school supports, encourages and enables high standards of learning. This is accomplished through both internal and external reviews and external accreditations.

Compass International School Doha is accredited as a Cambridge International Centre for the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

Compass International School Doha has been granted recognition as a Teaching Institute for the conduct of International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations of Edexcel.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Compass International School is a candidate school* (24 November 2010) for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Compass International School believes is important for all our students.
 
*Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three academic programmes. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.

Reviews
As part of the WCL Group internal quality assurance, Compass International School Doha undergoes a review every few years. Internal reviews are conducted by a team from within our school group, and the external reviews are conducted by independent consultants. The reviews serve to confirm or disaffirm a school's self-evaluation. Internal reviews focus on student learning and the factors influencing such learning. External reviews evaluate a school's responses to the internal and leadership reviews.
Annual internal reviews are completed and submitted to the Director of Learning and Education Management. These form the basis of the school's annual School Improvement Plan.

Professional Associations
Compass International School Doha is a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS),

and the Head of School is a member in good standing of the Academy of International School Heads (AISH)

We have recently been granted membership of the Council of International Schools and will be pursuing International Accreditation through CIS.
